Tesla vs Michigan
In a not very surprising turn of events, Tesla has sued the state of Michigan for the right to begin direct sales of its vehicles, instead of being forced to use a dealership system. If they win, it could begin the process of overturning dealership laws throughout the country, meaning that individuals would finally be able to buy vehicles directly from the manufacturer for once. As it is, the current system prioritizes the rights of dealerships over those of both manufacturers and consumers, bluntly allowing dealers to hose both parties wherever possible.
