Transition to commercial services for LEO transportation

How and why NASA should transfer to commercial access to space, both from a cost and effectiveness viewpoint, and how it can go about that. As with many arguments of this kind, given the disparate orders of magnitude of cost effectiveness between NASA and commercial NewSpace to date, I wholeheartedly support a speedy switch to commercial flight. Thankfully, political maneuvering combined with SpaceX and other launch providers look capable of forcing this change over the coming decade.
