California is dying. But no one wants to acknowledge it. Which is too bad, because they’re on the hook for enough money alone that they can drag the rest of the country down. Between them and the federal government, the US has 20% of the world’s total debt. That’s public debt, mind you, not corporate or private. And we’re increasing it at a rate of 20% a year. Because the math on that one can carry on forever. The next decade should be very interesting. And depressing.
