Why do things break?

Why things break in space

It turns out, for the same reasons as they do down on Earth – tiny accidents, most too small to be noticed, or the gradual decline of entropy and decay. And like it does down here, it means there will be a constant need for repair stations, once humans live in space. Eventually, taking a space ship or station in for repairs will be as regular as going to Midas for your car. Although hopefully not that frequently.
