Nope, it hasn’t, not quite yet. Although realistically, no one will know what the tipping point was until we can look back, and mark some seminal event as the day everything changed. And in some ways that might have already happened, with the flight of SpaceShipOne. But it’s been ten years since then, and there’s still no commercial access to space from any of the NewSpace players. But every day they get closer to offering regular flights, and hopefully within a year or so, SpaceX and Virgin Galactic will be fully operating businesses, rather than investments from their wealthy founders.
We can only hope.
