Japanese rockets fall short of commercial market

Japan has spent a considerable amount of money on big rockets but the vehicles are not competitive for launching commercial satellites: H-2B success doesn’t sell Japanese rockets – asahi.com (via spacetoday.net).

According to the article, a launch of the H-2B rocket, the largest Japanese vehicle, costs 15 billion yen or roughly $182 million.
