ESA's Rosetta Spacecraft Advances to comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko for 2014 landing

The European Space Agency’s **[Rosetta][1]** comet chaser is on its way to **[comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko][2] **for a rendezvous in 2014 – ten years after **[launch][3]**. This immense journey will take it to the orbit of Jupiter where it will rendezvous with the comet and follow it back towards the Sun. It will also place a lander on the comet’s surface to sample the composition. That is not all: Rosetta has been taking a look at some other asteroids along the way. More from **[MSNBC][4]**.
